Iris Ginsburg is a health economist and an expert in health policy. Over more than two decades, she has held leadership and policy development positions within Israel’s public healthcare system, including roles at the Ministries of Finance and Health. She served for 12 years as a member of Israel’s National Advisory Committee for the Health Services Basket.
She is currently an independent consultant specializing in health policy, medical innovation, and strategy, advising health innovation companies, investors, healthcare organizations, and academic institutions. She leads the strategic collaboration between Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov), Tel Aviv University, and the Tel Aviv–Yafo Municipality as part of the establishment of the Tel Aviv University Medical Center.
Ginsburg lectures in academia on Israel’s healthcare system, health economics, health policy, and resilience and crisis management in healthcare. She has co-authored policy papers and publications on healthcare system preparedness for crises in collaboration with the Israel Democracy Institute, as well as on health as a component of national security in collaboration with the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS). Her work focuses on advancing health policy, innovation, and collaboration among the healthcare system, academia, government, local authorities, industry, and the third sector.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA from Bar-Ilan University, as well as a Master’s degree in Philosophy, Science and Digital Culture from Tel Aviv University.
